Some Alabama taxpayers may be entitled to tax filing and penalty relief after being affected by Hurricane Helene, according to the Alabama Department of Revenue.

The ALDOR is offering the relief on a case-by-case basis to those who live in or have a business inand who may be unable to timely file tax returns as a result of damage or disruptions caused by the hurricane. In Alabama, this would affected Tallapoosa, Macon, Bullock, Covington, Crenshaw, and Butler counties.

If you believe you are one of those affected who may qualify for this relief, you can call the ALDOR offices by telephone to get the process started or to find more information.
