Through the designations, significant domestic and foreign direct investment has been attracted, new capacity and capabilities have been created, collaborative platforms with global original equipment manufacturers through inter alia technology and skills transfer programmes have been realised. Through the localisation programme, we have demonstrably created thousands of jobs and unlocked billions in private-sector investment.
