Gauteng Health Department says some of the matric learners who were earlier hospitalised for suspected food poisoning are expected to be discharged.Seventy-four female learners from Fochville Secondary School, Badirile Secondary School and Wedela Technical School were part of the matric camp at Fochville Secondary School.
Gauteng Health spokesperson, Motalatale Modiba, “They’re having this matric camp at one of the schools in the district. So, they ate something in the morning and it looks like whatever they ate had an effect on them because all of them started complaining of stomach cramps. 73 are being treated at the hospital and then one was taken to a private facility. What is good is that they are all doing well.
