Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture Gayton McKenzie welcomed back the national women’s cricket team with a promise to campaign for equal pay for men and women across all sporting codes.
IT was low-key return, but minister McKenzie was on hand to welcome the team with a bouquet of Proteas. The Proteas women have performed extremely well in the tournament in spite of losing in the final and Minister McKenzie wants to make sure that they and all other women in sport, get rewarded for it.
