The long-delayed carbon tax will come into effect on Saturday. But what does this mean for a country with low economic growth and an unemployment rate of 27.1 percent? Courtesy of #DSTV403
JOHANNESBURG - The long-delayed carbon tax will come into effect on Saturday and with it, expectations that the fuel price and the cost of electricity will rise.Songo Didiza, Founding Director of Green Building Design Group, stated the new law is not a punishment but an opportunity to invest in cleaner processes.Didiza said business owners should approach the law as an incentive to change the way they do business.
She said,"there are incentives in place to minimise corporate tax liability and add value to the environment."
Taxing us for breathing is an opportunity for the political elite to not take part in this “action” against “climate change” and full their pockets even more from the tax payers. All using the fear of “climate change” that’s backed up by pseudo-science.
Just 1 quick question. How is the average small business owner supposed to afford cleaner alternatives if they milk us dry with tax? Larger corporations yes, but we can't afford electricity and fuel hikes anymore!
CR has been in office less than a week & there must ne no misunderstanding. I've learned what that democracy in the ANC actually means, & the whole SA have been joined to another object by an inclined plane wrapped helically around an axis. It's gonna get wore from here on out.
We'll support Zille's tax revolt.
Really sceptical about this, especially in the current economic climate and rate of unemployment
Since when can money fix a climate problem?
You voted ANC
ANC babaaa bawathollile ama vote ba grand😬😬😬
Bullshit, this is another way to fleece the companies trying to make a paltry profit in this country. 🤮🤮🤮🤮
A chance to screw us over even more
Just because an expert gives an opinion, we must accept. Voetsek
Nonsense!
An opportunity to tax us more
