Despite the surge of negative news brought on by Facebook’s political mishaps, political ads contribute relatively little to the company’s massive advertising business. According to Facebook’s Ad Library Report, which is public, ads related to “politics or issues of importance” on the platform accounted for just under $604 million in ad revenue over the last 12 months.
