The Barras to Host Huge Christmas Market Weekender

The Barras has announced it is set to host a huge Christmas market weekender in the lead-up to Christmas Day. The iconic market, on London Road, confirmed the four day celebration will feature holiday shopping, entertainment, and delicious street food. Taking place in the lead up to Christmas, the event will run from Saturday, December 21 to Christmas Eve (Tuesday, December 24).

Taking to social media to announce the event, the team posted: 'Get ready for an unforgettable festive experience at The Barras Market BIG Christmas Weekend! Join us for four consecutive days of holiday shopping, entertainment, and delicious street food, along with some extra special surprises.' They added there will be a visit from Santa’s Sleigh, where you can meet Santa himself, and the market will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland with festive lighting and decorations. Running over the weekend ahead of the big day, the market will be open from 10 am until 5 pm each day before a special extended edition runs from 10 am until midnight on Christmas Eve. The events as always will be completely free and are family and dog friendly. The team added: 'Don’t miss out on the holiday fun at The Barras Market BIG Christmas Weekend – your ultimate destination for festive joy and holiday memories!
