Ananda Krishnan, often featured on Forbes' list of wealthiest individuals, is estimated to be worth US$5.8 billion. He is the founder of Maxis Bhd and Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd, and is known for his low-profile approach to business and philanthropy. Born to a Sri Lankan Tamil civil servant, Krishnan studied political science at the University of Melbourne and later earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Estimated to be worth US$5.8bil , Ananda Krishnan often made it to the annual Forbes' list of wealthiest people, being ranked as the third richest person in Malaysia.

Known for maintaining a low profile, Ananda was the founder and chairman of Usaha Tegas, as well as the founder of Yu Cai Foundation.
