The old Relic x Hooked premises are being marketed by Nottingham-based estate agents FHP Living

A clothes shop which shut its doors around a year ago could reopen as a new business after a number of offers received by the estate agent marketing its premises. Relic x Hooked, which sold vintage clothes and streetwear as well as homeware, books and records, closed in early 2024.

Its former premises on Bridlesmith Gate in Nottingham city centre have been empty since. The front windows of the shop have since been covered over and used as advertising space for trentbarton and the itsinnottingham city centre app. Split over two floors, the property could be turned into a cafe or restaurant, office, clinic, health centre or gym without the need for planning permission. The rentable value of the property is £104,000, according to a 2023 valuation.

The 2,000 square-foot property remains advertised to let on the FHP website. But the agents said they had had two promising offers for the re-opening of the site, which is described as a "prime fashion, footwear, cosmetics and accessories location." They floated the idea that a new business may open there in early 2025. Nearby shops include Hugo Boss, fopp, 18montrose, Kuoni, Nottingham Hi-fi, Cavani, Aura Fine Art, Bravissimo and White Stuff.
