The organisers behind a popular Manchester night market in the city centre have been forced to cancel its next events this weekend following weather warnings from the Met Office.
The warnings are also set to continue into Sunday, with the possibility of road and bridge closures due to "impacts from falling trees".As a result of the warnings issued, the Manchester Made Market, which had been due to take place at New Jackson in Deansgate Square, has cancelled three days of events.
More than 40 artisanal traders and small businesses from across the region had been due to take part in the event, featuring a range of food produce, homewares, crafts and other unique Christmas gifts from local businesses. Organisers told the Manchester Evening News: “Due to the upgraded weather warnings issued today by the Met Office, we regretfully have to announce the cancellation of the Manchester Made Christmas Market scheduled for this weekend, 6th, 7th, 8thDecember, at New Jackson.
