) -The Mobile City Council is getting ready to take another look at progress being made on the new Civic Center
The City Council Finance Committee is scheduled to meet Tuesday afternoon to receive an update on the demolition and construction timeline, as well as the financing plans for the new Civic Center arena.At that meeting, council members along with the Deputy Director of Finance Scott Collins discussed the cost of the civic center project.
Collins said a strategic financing plan will allow debt from this project to be paid down in less than 20 years.
