FUKUOKA, Japan - Japanese Finance Minister Taro Aso said on Sunday the country was not currently in a situation that requires deploying fresh fiscal spending measures. Aso made the comment in a news conference after chairing a meeting of Group of 20 finance leaders in Fukuoka, southern Japan.
That's good.
For those not schooled in the Japanese economic climate - He's pulling a classic Conservative move in order to limit talks about increasing employee wages, addressing number of hours worked, and fixing the retirement fund problem that has been plaguing the nation for 30 years.
