EFF Leader Julius Malema gestures as he addresses delegates at the party's third National People's Assembly at Nasrec in Johannesburg on 13 December 2024.The Economic Freedom Fighters National People’s Assembly has always taken place during definitive moments in the history of South Africa, according to EFF leader Julius Malema who is delivering the party’s political report in Nasrec, south of Johannesburg.Over 2 000 party delegates are taking part in the elective conference.

Dunga says former leaders who have left the organisation prioritised their own interests over that of the party. “However, we must acknowledge that the EFF has faced challenges both from within and without.
