SALES in the residential condo market in the National Capital Region have been sluggish, with the first 11 months of 2024 dropping by 63 percent compared to the numbers at the same time in 2023. Perhaps in response, developers have been cautious, with total launches again for the first 11 months of the year representing only 46 percent of full-year 2023's projected count.
The residential condominium market has been very, very sluggish, especially for the last quarter of this year,' confirmed Roy Golez, director of research and consultancy of real estate firm Leechiu Property Consultants, Inc. , during the latter's year-end media briefing on Dec. 10. 'We're down to about 25,000 units sold for the year 2024, excluding December. And for project launches, we're also down at 13,226.
