Stephanie Ward is looking forward to treating her loved ones this year but doesn't want to spend more than £850 on food, gifts, decorations, and festive activities
In 2016, I hit a real low point when I had dropped out of university and had an income of just £680 a month. We rely on credit cards which we manage month-to-month to pay for the essentials, like the food shop, and pay them off in full every quarter. We usually do our big Christmas food shop the week before and get it delivered due to my mobility- I had lifechanging surgery to repair my hip dysplasia in 2020. If there are any rogue substitutions or anything missing, which often happens when you do the food shop online, we go on Christmas Eve when things are reduced.
