The Federal Capital Territory Administration said it has put in place various measures to empower small, micro and medium enterprises , through the Abuja Enterprises Agency , the Abuja Investments Company Ltd and the Abuja Markets Management Limited .

Ohaa noted that the Kassuwa.com platform would make operators in the informal sector more competitive and position them to take full advantage of various palliative and empowerment programmes of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, in line with his recently announced policy of pulling 100 million Nigerians out of poverty over the next 10 years.

Earlier in a welcome address, the managing director/chief executive officer of Abuja Markets Management Limited , Abubakar Usman Faruk, had noted that before now, most traders did not have online presence, because players in the industry haven’t taken upon themselves to focus on the small business owners.
