"Why is Pakatan issuing a Request for Proposal to sell a national asset via a middleman and not directly to buyers?" he said in a Facebook post on Friday ."In April, Lim had informed the Dewan Rakyat that there were buyers interested in the building in Hong Kong owned by the Malaysian government, and they wanted to buy it at RM1.6bilIt was reported that the government had yet to accept the RM1.68bil offer and was looking for better offers.

The issue over the sale of the Hong Kong property was first brought up on March 26 when Lim had accused former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak of approving the sale of the property through direct negotiation.
