KUALA LUMPUR: The government is considering to implement a departure levy for those flying out of the country in September, says Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Amiruddin Hamzah.

“It will probably be after the haj season, probably in September," he told reporters when met at the Parliament lobby Tuesday .

The Departure Levy Bill 2019 was tabled and passed in April during the previous parliamentary session.
