The food guide is the least of this countries concerns. Let the vegans have this one & focus on something that actually matters like clean water for First Nation & Inuit communities. Or perhaps alleviating food insecurity in the North or how about lifting people out of poverty.

What the H does, 'Ideologically driven' mean in relation to Health Canada's dieticians and other staff coming up with a health and nutritious food guide? Maybe his idea of food is fast foods instead? Especially if his corporate pals own or have stocks in such enterprise.
The food guide is full of Canadian produced foods, including dairy and beef. So what if it is aspirational for most of us...it is important to have a science-based guideline when we inevitably run into health problems.
