New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has been blindsided by Scott Morrison's announcement on a trans-Tasman project to tackle online extremism.

The project, which is being developed by Australia, New Zealand and OECD nations, would require social media companies including Facebook and Twitter to report details of extremist activity on their sites. Mr Morrison announced the project to his foreign counterparts at the G7 Summit.

Morrison trying to take credit for something that someone else created. Morrison has no ideas of his own. Ardern is a true leader, Morrison a follower and Trump a lost cause.

Maybe if the NZ PM was actually relevant she might have got an invite to the G7 meetings.
