Masehe brought the curtain down on an 18-year-long career after 18 seasons in the Premier Soccer League.Stars subsequently lost that match 1-0 and were relegated to the National First Division. Masehe now leads Stars alongside Head Coach Themba Sithole.
The Qwa-Qwa born defensive midfielder spent 10 of an 18 year long career with Stars. He says he is still going through a learning process and explains his new role as player/coach. Masehe played 335 matches and scored 27 goals in his career spanning over 18 years. This number could increase if called upon by Sithole to play alongside teammates Ayanda Nkosi formerly with Orlando Pirates and midfielder Relebogile Mokhuoane in the GladAfrica Championships.He made his professional debut back in 2002 while on the books for Downs as a striker.
