Sydney identity Tom Domican has settled for $100,000 in a defamation suit over former Kings Cross club owner John Ibrahim's bestselling memoir.
Barrister Dauid Sibtain, acting for Mr Ibrahim and Pan Macmillan, told an interlocutory hearing earlier this year Mr Domican's answers to questions about ALP branch stacking in a 1984 BBC interview supported the inferences of criminality in his clients' book.programme, a younger Mr Domican admitted to visiting Crown witnesses at their homes after being charged in relation to alleged vote-rigging.
"How is branch stacking relevant to gang wars? How is branch stacking relevant to heroin supply?" she said.
