) told staff on Friday it will stop selling e-cigarettes and electronic nicotine delivery products at its U.S. stores, amid a growing crackdown on surging teenage use of such products, reports of vaping-related lung disease and some deaths.

In an internal memo seen by Reuters, the retailer said growing federal, state and local regulatory complexity and uncertainty were behind its decision. President Donald Trump and other top U.S. officials also expressed concern about the growing use of such products as health officials investigate the matter.

.......to make more shelf space for cigarettes. walmart woke

We can still buy our cigarettes though, right? Phew! I was worried they were going to stop selling the product that literally kills 1300 people per day in the US.

Thank you Walmart for stepping forward into a responsible stance.

Hopefully another hypermarts will makes the same decision in the future.

you know everything in WalMart can be used inappropriately to harm. Mayhap they should just close down completley.

In Canada where I live Walmart only sells a few sizes of ammo and a few hunting knives and NO cigarettes of any kind. Just fine with me.

from what I read: the people who died inhaled e-cigs altered with cbd or thc infused in the device. The e-cigs were maligned. A lot of people have weaned themselves off tobacco via the e-cig.

If Walmart can recognize the negative effects of e-cigarettes, I hope they can take the step to limit gun sales.

Did anyone know you can open carry in Texas Walmarts, look it up!! Keep informed!!

Cigarretes: Millions of deaths per year Wallmart and US: That's ok e-cigarretes: 6 deaths Wallmart and US: OH GOD NO PLEASE

Cigarettes are cool tho

abandon ship.

They will continue to sell regular cigarettes.

How about giving up the sale of just plain regular killing cigarettes?

But are they still selling tobacco products?😤

Finally!

What about guns?

but not cigarettes or alcohol...

But not cigarettes? Big tobacco must not be involved? -let's look at the death count by each over the years,,,

1300 US tobacco smokers died today, just like every day. Not banned. 209 kids have died in inflatable pools in the last 8 years. Not banned. 6(?) people have died from vaping, and those were from vitamin E acetate in black market THC cartridges, not Walmart's. Banned. Priorities?

What about cigarettes though I mean I think all smoking is bad but cigarettes being one of the worst things you can take and that causes many people to die. Why doesn’t that get banned? Interesting

But not cigarettes the 1 cause of preventable deaths.

The much anticipated fightback by the big tobacco manufacturers lobbyists.

Wtf. Come on. You still sell guns, cigarettes and alcohol. All deadly.

But cigarettes will be on sale as usual ?

But still sell Guns and ammunition..........

❤️❤️❤️
