MOST READ: SARS still struggling to recover millions from Moyane The South African Revenue Service says it is still struggling to recover millions of rand in legal costs from former commissioner Tom Moyane.

subsequently fired Moyane following the recommendation of Judge Robert Nugent in his report compiled after a commission of inquiry into SARS.

According to the report, immediate action was needed to forestall any further deterioration of the country’s tax administration system.
