TalentCorp manager of industry partnerships Noor Asmaliza Romlee during the panel discussion on the future workforce and graduate employability.

The Institute for Labour Market Information and Analysis had recently told FMT that over the past four years, employers had found it increasingly difficult to fill positions in 23 occupations. Software developers, auditors, financial analysts and computer network professionals are also in short supply.

Another speaker, Citibank Malaysia’s country human resources officer Nisha Padbidri, said other than academic qualifications, employers are looking for five main qualities.
