U.S. stocks finished higher Monday, with the S&P 500 SPX, +0.56% closing at a record as corporate earnings continued to top expectations and investors remained optimistic about a U.S.-China trade deal. The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, +0.49% closed around 131 points, or 0.5%, higher, finishing around 27,089. The S&P 500 rose about 16 points, or 0.6%, finishing near 3,039. The Nasdaq [s:COMP} ended around 83 points, 1%, higher, closing near 8,326.
