Existing Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods delivery customers will first get the invite to the service, which recently expanded to cities including Las Vegas, Nashville and Orlando, Amazon said. Why is pleasing Prime members so crucial? Amazon’s U.S. Prime membership expanded to 105 million at the end of June to represent about three-fifths of its shoppers, the research firm Consumer Intelligence Research Partners estimated.Similar to Amazon’s one-day shipping rollout, the new perk may change Amazon customers’ shopping behavior and help increase orders and their spending amount.
