Apple Inc.’s earnings report will provide the first indications of how the new iPhone 11 smartphones are selling and provide a forecast for the crucial holiday period.
The fiscal fourth-quarter report comes after a series of new all-time highs for Apple’s AAPL, -0.01% stock. Though shares have been steadily increasing since Apple’s last report, estimates haven’t budged much and Apple is expected to post nearly flat revenue compared with a year earlier. The company is also projected to post a double-digit decline in iPhone revenue for the fourth consecutive quarter.
MarketWatch tech editor Jeremy C. Owens and reporter Emily Bary will live-blog the release of the results and subsequent conference call, which is planned for 5 p.m. Eastern time.
