BMG Nashville executive vp Kos Weaver has exited the company

has learned. His departure is due to company restructuring where three additional support staffers have also exited., BMG confirms the restructuring did not affect the staff at BBR Music Group or the royalties and copyright teams in Nashville.

“Nashville is a major growth market for BMG,” a representative from BMG said in a statement. “The restructuring is consistent with our ongoing US strategy -- maintaining our core strength and position in publishing while increasing our investment in writer-performers. We are now extending that approach to Nashville and it requires a different skillset and experience, hence the reorganization. Kos’s success over the past years speaks for itself and we wish him well.

“It’s all about being a proper steward of a creator’s career, both creatively and administratively,” Weaver said at the time.
