Nick Stevens has faced court charged with taking payments of more than $30,000 from customers on the false pretence of installing swimming pools.

Former Carlton and Port Adelaide midfielder Nick Stevens has been charged with a string of dishonesty offences relating to a pool business he was running in Mildura.It is alleged Mr Stevens accepted sums of up to $30,483 on the pretence of installing swimming poolsHe will face court for a committal mention in February

It is alleged Mr Stevens first accepted $3,300 from each victim"on the pretence of installing a functioning swimming pool", before later collecting much larger sums of between $24,075 and $30,483.Mr Stevens appeared in the Mildura Magistrates' Court this morning for a brief filing hearing.He is due to face court for a committal mention in February.
