Shares of electric vehicle maker Tesla Inc. fell at the opening bell Thursday, May 23 but recovered into positive territory after an analyst predicted falling demand but Musk told employees that orders are up. The gyrations within an hour of when the markets opened were indicators of a volatile day for the shares, which have shed about 40 percent of their value this year and are trading at the lowest levels since late 2016.
Pickups would be a great way to increase revenue if Tesla CEO Elon Musk can sell them, because pickups sell for a lot of money. With a heavier frame, and especially when the truck has a heavy load, the battery charge will last a shorter period than it would for a sedan.
Some people do not drive pickups for work or need; they drive them for style and appearance. Battery powered vehicles are quiet, and they have no engines to rev. Will those who drive pickups for primarily for style be willing to forego the engine and all it brings?
Won't sell to the assholes who simply want to destroy peace and solitude with illegally obnoxious loud exhausts.
