The confirmed anchor tenants of the new mall are Parkson, Food Republic, The Food Merchant, Harvey Norman superstore, Pavilion Bukit Jalil ice rink and China’s second largest cinema chain; Dadi Cinema.
Besides catering to the local market, the mall is also aiming to capture 10 to 15 per cent of the tourism market. “We are targeting for Pavilion Bukit Jalil to be the next shopping paradise, as the size of the mall is 30 to 35 per cent larger than the existing Pavilion Kuala Lumpur”, she said. Bakhtiar said the country recorded RM41.69 billion in tourist receipts in the first half of this year, representing a 6.8 per cent increase over the same period last year.
