The inaugural Eastern Cape Children’sThe two-day festival, which encourages children to read, kicked off in East London on Saturday.
It features interactive workshops, a seminar on“We always look at the matric results and forgetting to lay a good foundation for children to enjoy books and to love reading. So, by the time they reach matric stage at least the child is well aware and is able to read and able to understand and enjoy new information that is found in books,” says Founder and Director of the festival, Vuyokazi Biyana.
