It will, however, no longer need to be assisted by the Coast Guard as the vessel’s operator “already requested for towing service and will be ready to be towed.”
According to the PCG, they will no longer have to deploy a rescue team to tow the vessel as the crew of the vessel already coordinated with its shipping company. The vessel’s master, Lito Enad, also told the PCG that they immediately requested towing assistance from their shipping company. The latter, however, did not immediately proceed to the incident area due to unfavorable weather conditions.
