“We can understand that they’re wanting to dot their I’s and cross their T’s and all of that before they hit that send button,” McMillan said. Here are the number of applications the AMCC has received so far, along with the maximum number of licenses the AMCC will issue in each category, limits set in the law.Processors: One application received; maximum of four licenses to be issued.

Applicants will have an opportunity to correct or amend their applications next year. Applications will be considered formally submitted in April. At that time, the AMCC will release the names of the applicants. A 60-day period for public comments will follow. The AMCC will issue or deny the applications in June.

McMillan said there is a good geographic distribution and that shows the level of interest by businesses.
