American Airlines is ending service to three U.S. cities as well as making the surprising decision to cut one of its long-haul routes to Israel.
At Long Beach, American had been flying between the coastal city and Phoenix. That route will continue to be served by Southwest Airlines. Service between Miami and Tel Aviv will end on March 24. American's lone remaining service to Tel Aviv will be a daily flight from New York's John F. Kennedy Airport.
American had been operating the DFW-Shanghai service with a stop in Seoul, South Korea. Now, the flights will operate nonstop starting in March.
