That's one of the ideas in a report by Oxfam International, which has sought for a decade to highlight inequality at the conclave of political and business elites in the Swiss ski resort of Davos.
To combat these problems, Oxfam urged higher taxes on the rich, through a combination of measures including one-time “solidarity” taxes and raising minimum rates for the wealthiest. The group noted that billionaire Tesla CEO Elon Musk's true tax rate from 2014 to 2018 was just over 3 per cent. “The number of billionaires is growing, and they’re getting richer, and also very large food and energy companies are making excessive profits,” said Gabriela Bucher, Oxfam International's executive director.
Every individual taking part in the annual Nazi cult meeting in Davos this week, wants us all to starve. If we could start quickly that would be great for them. Sieg Heil
Yes. Let's make everything more expensive. That'll help. That's what increasing taxes does: makes _everything_ more expensive. Those Oxfam people are such clever folk, always making life more challenging for the poor.
You will Eat Nothing and Be Happy.
No thanks.
Let's be clear on who will pay that tax.... It won't be the food companies, it will be the CUSTOMERS, who are all already paying too much for food.
What the hell has Davos got to do with anything, there should be no taxes on food, the carbon tax is just a tax grabbing SCAM, Davos is a bunch of loser billionaires that think they're more important than anyone else, need to be banned in every country in the world, FFS
