Mercedes-Benz' 2024 E-class models will have video conferencing abilities with a built-in selfie camera and software options.

That means dance moves will be possible using both hands, as long as the car is parked. More in keeping with the brand image, Mercedes drivers will also be able to participate in important business-related video meetings without having to open a laptop. They can also sling Angry Birds when things get boring.

Like some of Mercedes’ electric models, such as the new EQE, the E-class will be available with a fully glass dashboard that includes a passenger touchscreen as well as technologies that Mercedes says is designed to reduce potential driver distractions. A camera will detect how often and for how long the driver is glancing in the direction of the screen, and will dim the passenger screen if needed.

WTF !!!! Why ?

Mercedes used to make artful interiors now they are just a computer screen….. where is the art

Who does the driving?

Only operational when car is in park I hope.

Great innovation

And can be controlled remotely to accelerate until one crashes like was done with Michael Mahon Hastings?

no, what the hell does it only work when the vehicle is in park or neutral?

Just focus on the car. App developers are not gonna rush to build apps for Mercedes. We already do these in our cars with our phones anyway

Great! More distractions! What a stupid idea.

As the old so g goes… keep your mind on your driving, keep your hands on the wheel, keep you silky eyes on the road ahead…

Re Mercedes - Will they have Renault engines too like the Mercedes A and B classes ? They don’t tell you that at the sales desk 🤔😬

Some people say Safety first. I say selfies first

Note to self: Don't buy Mercedes newer than 2023 model.

focus on the car

Tesla did that already

Germany 🇩🇪 is still climbing higher and may still turn these technologies into a better weapon industry in the future.

All these during driving 🤣

I don’t agree with this since it promotes distraction while driving regardless whether the screen is on or off. MercedesBenz

Wow impressed

A built-in selfie camera…PERFECT.

The escape opportunities are getting less and less!

Sounds safe

Wonderful.

More useless shit please

What about DRIVING the car?

Is it already on the market? It looks pretty good.

Looks like nobody gives a shit about road accidents anymore.

Great way to insure that we have more traffic accidents

Can you retweet the last story on a new Tesla I can’t wait to see your article on cybertruck

Germany 🇩🇪 they know everything

Great let's throw in my crap to distract drivers.

How is this passing safety requirements

Every year we get better and better at being worst and worst.

Just how everybody wants to die… on a teams meeting while you drive.

Are people asking for this?

AB
