Millennial farmers will now be getting “complete” value chain support from big private companies, as the government establishes the Kapatid Angat Lahat for Agriculture Program .

“We will be able to say [to] our millennial farmers [that they] are using the best technologies with the complete support of a value chain that supports them and that supports their needs,” Marcos said. With KALAP, Marcos explained, large corporations will serve as “big brothers” to these millennials by giving them access, mentorship, and support.

“We also recognize the role of big corporations in MSMEs, spurring their growth, and realizing their potential. Hence, I am very happy to note the objective of the KALAP to integrate small farmers and agri-entrepreneurs into the value chain of large companies,” he continued.
