Load shedding will jump from Stage 1 to Stage 4 on Sunday at 16:00, Eskom announced.
"The repairs to the damaged towers from Cahora Bassa in Mozambique is continuing and is anticipated to be completed by early next week." Stage 4 load shedding will be implemented from 16:00 on Sunday until 05:00 on Tuesday morning, Eskom said on Sunday. At the moment the law applies specifically to strategic infrastructure projects- our learnings from the process is that if necessary- we could issue direction for those processes to be more generally applied.- Lameez OmarjeePhaahla makes a disclaimer though that no one has yet to come forward and reported deaths, at home or in hospitals.Phaahla says so far there have not been any direct links between hospital deaths and load shedding.
"What we are currently doing, is we are looking at developing directions that would enable expedited procedural requirements for requiring environmental authorisation." For example, allowing a process to be followed similar to a basic assessment. Also shortening timelines for submissions of applications and reports. These projects would be in front of the queue – ahead of others during the state of disaster.
But that number is set to rise significantly very soon, when Eskom is explicitly excused from following any of the rules intended to protect water, air, and wildlife.

Everytime they try to give us a single day without Loadshedding, we end up getting even higher levels of Loadshedding later that day. Why can't they just give us consistent Loadshedding everyday and don't do us any favors
