Nope

Not necessarily but possibly

Only time will tell. May as well give it a try.

No!

Pay the right people who are doing the hard work .... frontline workers deserve higher pay!!!And cut down on clip board carriers. We all know that admin jobs can be cut

No, they'll still ignore everything that isn't the Avalon like always. This is what happens when resettlement isn't on the table. You get herded.

To answer this question, we would have to make a guess. Those who know are making this decision and there should openness about why they made the decision and why they believe this would be better for our province’s healthcare. Politicians talk about openess until elected!

Furey, Haggie, Tommy, Siobhan…the works of em should be thrown out of the province.

No consistency in all sites within a particular Board now. On a larger scale there is no chance. Policies are different from site to site. It will never be better without Human Resources . I believe productivity has gone way down with the introduction of smart phones as well.

If they can't manage one broken into four...guess we'll see. I hope so. I haven't had a doctor in a few years now.

You want to fix it? Get rid of the over abundance of management and hire more front line. The boots on the ground staff have been crying out for help for years now and it seems to fall on the deaf ears of the powers that be. Unlikely to improve with amalgamation.

Boondoggle

Getting rid of redundant high level jobs that overlap never hurts. Many situations, decisions, appropriations can be grouped but there would be little savings on the floor levels. The biggest savings is in addressing sick time/wasted time/leave/and employee theft of materials.

Worse! This is a terrible idea.

No, Canada's Healthcare is as bad as it is because of incompetency of both Federal and Provincial govt

Centralization of ANYTHING has never worked and becomes more broken and corrupt EVERY time... when will NL stop just sheeping its way into oblivion?

To tell you the truth just the name The Health Authorities is very Dark and Intimidating. Nothing good came out of it since they have been trying to implement the Health Accord. The uncertainties are real and that’s not being negative it’s being truthful

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 No

Nope

No

No it’s already too top heavy! They need to move imaging, audiology, eye care services such as cataracts, bloodwork, X-rays and simple testing for the general public out of hospitals! It would mean a major revamp & govt is not smart enough to undertake this!

There is no reason to trust them whatsoever. Same with VOCM journalism.

Hire more staff!!! New graduates should not be leaving the province to find work when their colleagues are suffering under the work load

Yah, Just like the Education System !

Is this some kind if kind if joke? ' let's make a bigger bureaucracy, that'll fix it' Why do we to tolerate such bad decision making? Bureaucracy suffers from a form of square cubed law, what it handles increases, but its cost increases even more.

If the Government are proposing it then the answer is a big, fat NO!!!!!

The system is broken. I've been to the emergency room once in the last 12 months. The place was packed. I'm no doctor, but a big chunk of people def were not in a state of emergency. Going for smokes, grabbing a bite, chatting, and laughing. Straining an already strained system.

If the province wide Education Department is any indication it will be awful (especially if you live past the over pass).

No it will only make things worse ,far worse . When the school boards were consolidated ,the costs went through the roof, way more people were employed by the new singular board than the total of all the others ,and they did a far worse job at EVERYTHING, oh yeah except the fraud

Question of the day. Do NL parents want to know who with NLESD is responsible for hiring Stephen Blackwood, covered complainants about him allowed this predator to groom and take videos of your children for 10 years.

NO ! On a positive note the Date of commencement of this bureaucratic do over is telling !

The healthcare industry is too top-heavy. There are way too many managers trying to make decisions, and everything gets lost trying to convey decisions

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

It's a bad joke...

That's a big no to your question here my question how many health workers were fired for not getting the jab

You’re not fixing anything here in regards to healthcare without addressing the administrative issues. No one should have to go through 7/8 receptionists to see a doctor or specialist, waste of time and money

Absolutely not. The Furey government is preparing the province for two-tiered health care and MASSIVE privatization. Just wait and see. It's happening in Ontario and other Provinces, it will happen here.

No they haven't done a damn thing except approve construction on a number of new buildings that will cost us all a fortune and have no staff. They all have their heads up their asses

They have hard enough time, dealing with one.

I have my doubts. It will probably make it worse for those living outside major centers when medical staff can move freely without losing their seniority in the system.

Having worked for 2 of those health authorities. That’s a big NO!

This is a terrible idea, just as bad as changing the health minister as the education minster. This province is a Bazzaro World, and soon it'll be the Atlantic Territories.

Know what will result in better health care? Not cutting budgets on the front lines, better scheduling/more hires, and a decent quality of life for people who work in hospitals and clinics. I don’t care what all the managers do, as long as the focus shifts back to point of care.

No, it will be worse. Now is not the time. The system is already in a shambles.

Worth a try! Sad more pple are not optimistic

Nope ..when school boards merged it didn’t improve anything education wise. Its Just cuts administative costs and duplication 🙌🏼

Same CEO so no.

No, it's purely administration shrinking to cut duplication and cost. There is potential for an administrative nightmare if workload becomes bottle necked.

No!! We will still have storage of Staff in the health care even when you merge, and ER’s closing lack of staff, this is only a Bandaid 🩹effect!!! It will not make more staff, when there a shortage all over our province, our health care is broken to fix this WE NEED STAFF not🩹
