Mill Market is getting a new name

Beer and wine will be available at Sault Ste. Marie's new downtown plaza, and at the new Mill Market next door.

City council agreed tonight to add the new venues to a revised version of its alcohol risk management policy. The two addresses will be treated as outdoor facilities, meaning that alcohol may only be served in separate licensed beer gardens. It must be separated from other areas by a minimum 36-inch high separation.

Alcohol sales will be limited to beer, wine, and wine coolers, but low-alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages must also be available.Mill Market announced today that it will change its name and logo when it moves to its new home at 73 Brock St.
