After an intense finale cliffhanger, the second installment picks up with Denita Jordan tries to protect her kingdom after going through tragedy. Rbel’s journey toward redemption finds itself filled with more obstacles due to several scandalous revelations and the Jordan family fights for their Gospel record label, their legacy, and their lives. As Denita faces medical and legal woes, Rbel works to secure justice for her slain best friend Dani and escape her own demons.
Devine will guest star as Darlene West, Denita’s mother; Williams will play Skye Johnson; Moritz Williams as Xavier, Rbel’s love interest; Uyoata Eno Udi as Chaplain aka Elijah; and Gillian Iliana Waters as Vy Waters, Caesar’s high-powered attorney; Louis Gossett, Jr., will return as Jeremiah West, Denita’s father; and DeVon Franklin will also appear as Renard Gray, a noted business executive.
Campbell, Mann, Cobbs Leonard, Houghton, Raine, and Blessing Offor will appear as themselves, serving as musical guests throughout the season. The “Take Me to the King” singer will appear alongside husband, David Mann Sr. Along with Adams and Serayah, returning cast members include Chaundre Hall-Broomfield as Taj Jordan, Michael Jai White as Julius “Ceasar” Jones, Michael Beach as Bishop Calvin Jordan, Kiandra Richardson as C.J. Walker-Jordan, Kirk Franklin as Deacon D’Wayne, La’Myia Good as Essence, Dominique Johnson as Malcolm Walker, Journey Carter as Jewel, Sam Malone as Dex, Tamar Braxton as Sasha, Louis Gossett, Jr.
