As revelations about cultism in the music industry emerged after the death of singer MohBad, controversial movie director, Chima Okoroji has weighed in on the

Okoroji said the current happening in the industry was caused by economic downturn. He assured that it would be sanitised just it like the motion picture industry.

He said: “What happened to Mohbad is just one in a million happenings in the entertainment industry. It is now obvious that the industry is swallowed by cultism. I remember in the early days of Nollywood when we used to assemble at Winnis in Surulere, cultism was brazenly displayed with different groups with their cliques. But because of the expansion of Nollywood, it wasn’t easy for cultism to be that relevant.
