“Some commuters don’t want to board our buses that is why we use 45 per cent, from 80 to 90 buses daily to convey commuters. These commuters prefer using privately-owned cars.”says it is currently using 45 per cent of the vehicles in its fleet due to lack of patronage by commuters.
“Presently we have 241 operational buses and we do use almost 45 percent of the buses on a daily basis. We have operational buses of 85 to 90 within Abuja and its environs on a daily basis. It depends on the demand of the market forces. “Moving people from Abaji to town which is more than 100 kilometres, is not economical because of the diesel price and others. It is only Abaji that we don’t go to presently and in the near future, we are going to consider it when we are able to work on the operational costs,” he said.
