The Manila Electric Co. over the weekend said its business centers are set to take a long weekend later this week in observance of the Easter Triduum, as it assured its customers of “continuous, reliable, and stable” services throughout the Holy Week.In an advisory, Manny Pangilinan-led Meralco said its business centers will be closed from March 28 to 30, with operations set to resume next Monday, April 1, but its personnel will be ready to attend to customer concerns during the period.
Meralco also advised its customers to unplug appliances when going away for several days, along with refraining from “octopus connections” or plugging in extension cords into a single power outlet. It also called on the public to avoid placing and running electrical cords under rugs or carpets as this could damage the insulation of wires, which should be kept organized and stored properly.
