Meanwhile, it is understood that Tottenham Hotspur star James Maddison will not make the Three Lions final 26-man squad for the showpiece, and left the training camp on Wednesday night with the national team coach. It is also believed that it has already been decided that Liverpool stars Curtis Jones and Jarell Quansah will also be cut after being included in the preliminary selection.

"The great thing is we have got through the last few days with no big problems," England boss Southgate said ahead of deciding his final squad. "I may have a few more selection headaches after tonight but that's a good thing. I would rather we had good performances that caused you to think than poor performances.
