An 8,400-mile Mercedes-Benz E300 diesel from 1995 sold for $101,000 on Bring A Trailer. Another 10,000-mile W124 generation E300 Diesel sold for $150,000 last year. Low-mileage W124 diesels are selling for more than their rarer Porsche-build E500 counterparts. The W124 generation of Mercedes-Benz E-Class is undoubtedly one of the standouts of the marque's storied history. It was, by all accounts, an engineering masterclass with a timeless design.
But does that warrant a $100,000 price tag? Well, apparently, if it's for a low-mileage E300 diesel, then yes! An 8,400-mile 1995 Mercedes-Benz E300 Diesel just sold for a whopping $101,000 on Bring A Trailer. Now granted, 8,400 miles is exceptionally low for any W124, but perhaps more so for a diesel. The diesel-powered E300 featured the tried and tested OM606 straight-six powerplant.
