Glasgow,Edinburgh,Sunday Mail

Only one firm remains in Michelle Mone's corporate empire after she was granted permission to close two of them.

Michelle Mone has been given permission to shut two firms – leaving just one remaining out of her business empire.

Mone, 53, applied to Companies House to “dissolve” MMI Global and Michelle Mone Interiors, which have links to controversial Knox Group, run by her husband Doug Barrowman, 59. The Scottish couple are being probed by the National Crime Agency over suspected criminal offences in the procurement of contracts for medical gowns and masks for his firm PPE Medpro, which is linked to the Knox Group.

A business expert said: “The companies didn’t appear to be trading any more, so it made sense at some point to dissolve them.
