At least 100 people have been killed so far this year in building fires across the densely populated metropolitan city in Bangladash

More than 10 000 people have been left homeless after a massive fire swept through a crowded slum in the Bangladesh capital, Dhaka, Thousands of shacks have been destroyed. Police have confirmed that there had been no fatalities, but that several people sustained minor injuries. Those who lost everything in the fire are now being accommodated in schools that are closed for a week-long holiday.

At least 100 people have been killed so far this year in building fires across the densely populated metropolitan city.
